"Fun race, but the logistics were a bit messy"
I had a good time at the race itself, the race part was fun. But packet pickup and bag check were kind of all over the place. The lines moved slow, and the signs weren’t really clear, so I kept second-guessing where I was supposed to go. It wasn’t awful or anything, just more stressful than it probably needed to be.
"Bag check was smoother than I thought"
I used bag check at my nycruns race and it went better than I expected. Drop off was quick, the staff kept the line moving, and pickup after the race wasn’t bad either. I did have to wait a few minutes, but like i said, nothing crazy. The only thing I’d change is adding clearer signs so it’s easier to know where to go. But like i said, overall it worked fine and I’d use it again.

"Solid race setup, just hit some bad timing"
I’ve done a couple of nycruns races now, and the course design is usually good. There’s a nice mix of street running and park sections, and the turns are marked clearly enough that I never felt confused. The only issue was that some spots got tight when the crowd bunched up, especially early in the race, but I think a lot of that was just bad timing with when everyone hit those narrower sections. Overall it still flowed well and felt like one of the better race setups I’ve tried in NYC. Not perfect, but definitely solid.

"Pretty easy to get to most races"
One thing I really like about NYCRUNS is that most of the races are in places I can get to by subway without having to overthink it. The site usually lays out the location info clearly enough, so I’m not stuck guessing where I’m supposed to go.
A few race pages could probably use more detail about exact entrances or where bag check is, actually, not probably, that would definitely help sometimes. But overall, getting to the events has been straightforward for me.
"The water was okay, okay enough, no real…"
The water was okay, okay enough, no real complaints there. The nutrition options were a little limited though, like kind of limited, so that was a bit disappointing.

"Good races, but the photos could be handled better"
I generally like NYCRUNS and have had solid experiences with their races. The events are usually organized well enough, and I can normally find the info I need without too much trouble. That said, the post-race photos and media have been kind of disappointing at times. Sometimes they take a long time to show up, and other times there just isn’t much available. It’s not the end of the world, but it does feel inconsistent, and I’d expect some acknowledgment or apology when that part falls short
"Plenty of bathrooms 🙂"
There were enough bathrooms available, which was a relief. The lines moved smoothly too, so it wasn’t much of a hassle 👍
"I ran a NYCRUNS race recently, the volunteers..."
I ran a NYCRUNS race recently, the volunteers were a big part of why it went so smoothly. I was kind of unsure where I was supposed to go at first, maybe I just missed a sign or wasn’t paying enough attention, but someone noticed and pointed me in the right direction right away. They were really nice about it too, which helped. The water stops were easy and well-organized, at least from what I remember. Overall it had a really good vibe, and I’d definitely consider running with them again.

"I wasn’t sure if I was even explaining…"
I wasn’t sure if I was even explaining the issue clearly, but support got back to me really fast and somehow knew exactly what to do. They fixed it right away, which surprised me a bit because I thought it might take longer.

"Easy Race Morning"
Getting to the race was easy. The train and parking info was clear enough, and I found a garage nearby without any stress. For an early run, not feeling confused before it even starts is a HUGE win.

"Simple, but exactly what you need after a race"
After the race, they had water, bagels, fruit, and bag pickup was super easy. I always kind of judge these things by my quick post-race checklist: can I hydrate, grab something to eat, and get my stuff without wandering around confused? This one passed. Nothing fancy, but it was really helpful and well organized.

"Pretty Smooth, Mostly Fine"
I ran with NYCRUNS and the corral setup was easy to figure out. The signs were visible enough, and the volunteers did a good job keeping everyone moving, so, you know, totally calm and normal over here. It did get a little crowded before the start, but nothing that felt like a total mess. Overall it was smooth, and I’d run with them again.

"Fun Run, Rough Start"
I had a good time overall, honestly. The run itself was fun, and the vibe was upbeat once things got going, but the start felt kind of all over the place. People seemed a little unsure where to line up, and there wasn’t much direction at first. Still, once we were actually moving, I enjoyed it. I’d probably do it again, just hope the beginning is a bit more organized next time.

"Decent, but not as nice as I expected"
From what I remember when I first used it, it worked okay and did what it was supposed to do, but it definitely had a cheaper feel than I was hoping for. It’s not terrible, just not something that left me thinking it was great quality
"Pretty easy site to use"
I thought the site was easy to use overall. Finding races was simple, but the checkout part took me a minute to figure out.

"The volunteers were great, they had…"
The volunteers were great— they had water ready when we needed it and kept cheering everyone on. I’m usually cautious about events like this, especially with staying hydrated and not pushing too hard, so it was reassuring to feel like people were looking out for us. It made the whole experience feel a lot easier and safer.

"Decent shirt, but I felt a bit misled on sizing"
I ran a NYCRUNS race recently the shirt was better quality than I expected. The material is light, not that stiff cheap-feeling fabric, and the print held up fine after the first wash. That said, I did feel a little misled by the sizing because it ended up being much snugger than I thought it would be. If you’re between sizes, I’d definitely size up. Overall it’s still a good shirt and I’ll wear it again, but I wish the fit had been clearer upfront.

"Pretty accurate overall"
Most of the NYCRUNS races I’ve done felt like the distance was pretty much right. My watch was only off by a tiny bit, which, umm, seems normal when you’re running in the city. It’s good enough for me overall, just not perfect every single time

"Fairly Organized and Stress-Free Start"
I ran a NYCRUNS race last weekend, and to be fair, they really handled the start line well. I was expecting it to be a little chaotic, but the signs were easy to follow and the staff did a good job keeping everyone moving without barking orders at people. The corrals actually made sense, and we weren’t stuck standing around forever. It felt organized without being overly strict, which made the whole morning a lot less stressful. credit where it’s due, they did a solid job.

"I’ve signed up for a few NYCRUNS..."
I’ve signed up for a few NYCRUNS races now, usually kind of last-minute and feeling rushed, but the pricing has still felt fair for NYC.
The thing I appreciate most is that they show the fees before you pay. I’m not clicking through a bunch of screens just to get surprised by some random huge charge at the end, which is a relief when I’m trying to register quickly.
Early signup prices are definitely helpful if you’re more organized than I usually am. It’s not the cheapest activity ever, but for a well-run race in the city, it feels worth it. Easy 5 stars from me.
